Hank had no time to meet me for lunch so I tracked him down at his usual daily hangout, the Shaffer Lib on the Union College campus in Schenectady. He is a day trader now in retirement owning about 700 various stocks. Logging in thru Folio he makes a couple thousand trades a month on the NY exchanges sniping small fluctuations in the market to stay even or gaining small profits. He likes techs now and has been doing this for close to 20 years.

Hank finished Suma Cum Lauda tops in his class of '72. His black Trek Mountain bike is his only ride having given up a car. He is into bible study for several years, making amends for some past transgressions. Says he has to apologize to some co-opers, but I don't think anyone holds any grudges. He reminded me of the time he was bouncer at the Swiss Inn and got stabbed in the back right in the kidney and had to have drainage tubes put in. That guy died recently but he held no animosity- said he was an alright guy, was perp's buddies who had intervened.

You'll notice beautiful  Nott Memorial facing the library across the quad. Some of us did a co-op road trip to here once  around Fev 1966. Believe Pete had a girlfriend and got me a date with a Mount St Mary's girl. We met here to stay at his buddy's DX frat and attended a Batman theme party at another frat. We saw the Lovin Spoonful, Drifters, and Ronettes in the other Memorial Chapel on campus. I drove the '58 Chev and brought Booner and Mal into Delmar to visit their parents. Recall my generator burning out,  going to a junkyard and installing a used one with my emergency tools. Just got a deal on the SU hat, it lights up!

8/6/09 Received this from Hank. No description. He sent the high res to you all. The pic data indicates it was taken the day before so he apparently is still doing tree work. Cannon PS SX200, nice pic 12 power zoom but only shot at 21mm focal length so he's probably not too high up, maybe 6 feet off the ground but he wanted us to think he's in the tree top. Appears to be a nice big Balsam. Got great quality new gear- he's serious about safety now. Wondering if Buz would attempt this?
