I ventured to Bennington, VT to drone the Green Mountain Power - Deerfield Project.
Embarking on an ongoing project, called Empire Wind to be installed in 70 floating towers 15 - 30 miles off the NY Harbour. Just under my drone is Beacon Island that has been bought by the Port of Albany to assemble off shore wind turbine towers that will be installed off Long Island. It will put out of business this NYSEG power plant in the future. By 2030 NY projects to be fossile fuel independent. It's a big deal.

Year end tie-up of loose ends. Searching Rush Pond for fun with a inch of ice. Open water near shore but then encountered and inch of ice. Paddled up on top then weight broke ice like an icebreaker vessel. A new experience.
Acquired an 8 week old Golden Retriever for Colleen. Schatzie Sunshine is a real sweetheart and a bundle of energy.
Drone shot in Niskayuna Park. Flying gently among the Hemlocks to get a perspective. This solar energy is heating up earth at differential rates causing winds that will be converted to electrical power, probably.
