You have a selection to make here, and more control in your fickle mouse finger than these two college roommates had upon graduation in 1967. Would that the simple choice was offered to us at the time.
Although I've always felt that destiny is in our own hands, that we create the lives we live in, I've been thinking lately that CHANCE and FATE has a lot to do with our lives. At college I was always considered the "Master of the Obvious". Maybe this is what they were getting at. But I still find the distressing thing about fate, though, is that it can be so fatal.
Like the blind squirrel finding a nut once in a while, I like to learn from my random life experiences, whether it's 40 minutes or 40 years after the fact. I think that is what separates us, maybe, from squirrels.
