Round Top

Catskill Resorts

We started at this Winter Clove Inn . At 1836 it's one of the oldest single family resorts of it's kind in the nation. Lovely.

Started up Rips Rock trail but did not finish. It's where Rip Van Winkle slept for 20 years after a drunken night.

Next we went over to the Venus Baths Trail. Got Schatzie in up to her waist but the noise of the Kiskatom Creek waterfalls scared her.

Got Schatzie to pose for a moment.

It's a relaxed friendly family place.

Tried a little Belgian white Rip Van Winkle brew but really wasn't my thing. Tim the mixologist from Bar Rescue TV series offered a replacement Wallkill IPA, instead. Good.

Felt like we were 'special guests' here. But it's an all inclusive deal for meals so we went down the street to the Crystal Brook Moutain Brau Haus for bratwurst & goulash on the deck. Sometimes you just got to reward yourself.

Next it was another block to Riedlebauers Nussy's pavilion to visit with friend Greg and his band. Nice to have a fire on the cool evening.  Friendly crowd and some old friends.

Greg's last gig as he upgraded from nurse to a Physician Assistant and has grown weary of performing.

It was a full day.
