Intro

Watch the video on how to begin your storyline.

Script Table

You will now create your script using the table template and in the Google Doc go to File > Make a copy (make sure you are logged into your CA account) and adjust the title to fit your group and share it with your group members and make it public.

Now fill out the table which will help you direct your film:

    • On the left side of the table write the time; no one clip should be more than five seconds long; make sure to include cutaways and b-roll.
    • Remember that each Act needs to be 60-90 seconds long.
    • Don't forget to include the special effect, AE effect, & master shots and label them in the correct column.

Storyboard

Now that you have your written story script you will create a visual using storyboards. Using the storyboard you were given in class (download & print if needed), complete the storyboard (use at least half the pages in the storyboard handout) and to ensure that you have variation in your filming, include every angle and subject shot on the right at least once in your storyboard. While sketching label.while writing out the following under each box drawing (number each box)

    • V (visual)
    • A (audio)
    • S (shots)

If you were absent, view the videos so you can understand storyboards.

Paste the Script Doc link to the spreadsheet and next class come with a printed table script of your Act and your completed storyboards.

Next class we will start filming so bring your props!
