MV Filming

  1. CP - Singer
    1. Film yourself (and your band or others) singing the lyrics to your song in the location you chose. This video footage will be used in your MV.
    2. You must insert yourself singing your song into the video. Overall, you will switch back and forth between video clips of you singing (or you and your band) and the storyline of the MV. See the MV below for a good example (although the lighting is not the best for the singer.
    1. If you watch a lot of upbeat music videos, you will find that many feature a "crew" of people who have a choreographed dance either separate or with the singer. I have noticed that many Korean MVs have the singers do this. I was very surprised that last year only one student integrated choreographed dance into his MV so he received a lot of points for it, especially in the area of creativity but he forgot to insert a separate storyline. So if you are going have a choreographed dance, which would be great, make sure you switch back and forth with the storyline plot. Although, if you have a slower song, obviously you would not want to do a dance but think of ways to be creative in other ways.

    4. If YT does not let you name it this because it is too long, change "Music Video" to MV
