- If you still do not understand GarageBand, feel free to check out these resources that may help you:
- GarageBand overview, outline, and manual. You can also check out the Basic Overview videos part I & part II, the Preference videos part I & part II, & the track preferences video which use an older version of Garageband but it is basically the same. All optional.

Watch of GarageBand andof the . Finally, watch the. While you are watching these videos, have GarageBand open and practice some of the techniques and features. When you are finished, post to posterous a few sentences explaining some of the things you learned overall.
do not do:
Watch the video tutorial on how to record vocals with both GarageBand & Audacity. Then open Audacity and record your vocals with Audacity singing 30-60 seconds of any appropriate popular song. Coming up as a task (check the calendar) you will have to create a short 30-60 second lip sync with this vocal so choose wisely the song you want to sing. It would be good to read the (directions) of the lip syn and to see some examples. Make sure you choose a creative song that will allow you freedom to be creative.
Use Audacity's settings and effects to get the vocal quality you want. Export the song as WAV or MP3 if it lets you and upload it to posterous along with a screenshot of your recorded voice on Audacity.
- Tutorial Two
- If you have not already, watch the video (comment on it) that dissects a song and shows you a variety of instruments that go into in.
- Then watch a real musician who is a teacher, Mr. Linn, and his video tutorial & leave a YT comment. Play his video through and do not pause it. While it is playing experiment with some of the tools he shows.
- Post
- You do not have to finish making any music clips or post any music but just write one or two sentences why you liked that part of the video in the screenshot (you could just copy and paste your short YT comment for this part). Skip a line and in the next sentence, write one thing about the video on dissecting a song (Tonight's Going To Be a Good Night) and just mention which single instrument of the song you liked the best and why.
- Tutorial Three
- Watch the review video part I & part II (13min total) and write additional notes in your CA book and take a screenshot of your notes to post to posterous. Make sure your notes in your CA book are organized with tutorial headers (Garageband Tutorial 1, 2, & 3 with sufficient yet efficient notes in each section).
When you are finished open QuickTime and choose to record a new Screen Recording and then click on the down arrow and choose Built-in Microphone so you can play your GarageBand project out loud and it will record your screen and the audio. Post to YouTube and the link to WordPress and the spreadsheet.
