Photo Printing

When preparing the following photos to print for your black photography display board, make sure of the following:

• Make sure you have a black display board at least 600x900m.
• Make a new Photoshop portrait template 4x6in and 150 or 200dpi and one 6x4in template for your landscape-size photos (if you have not already). Then insert each of the photos below into the template and resize/crop if needed to make them fit.
• If you resize any photos make sure you only resize the corners and hold down cmd when resizing to ensure the ratio does not change and become to fat or too thin.
• The photos need to be at least 2mb or 2000kb in file size when printing so they are not pixelated
• Print the following photos on glossy photo paper with good color at home or at a place like emart or the Kodak shop.

   3. Create a PS document 12x6in 200 dpi and place this photo into it and resize/crop if needed. Then use two vertical guides, one at 4in on the horizontal ruler and the other at 8in on the horizontal ruler. You will now see how to divide the photo into three separate photos. Download the template or open a new PS document 4x6in 200dpi portrait size. Go back to your large pano and use the marquee tool to select the first photo part (Photo 1 in the example below) and click cmd + c to copy and cmd + v to paste it into the new 4x6in document. Save it as max quality JPG, hide the layer and repeat the process to save Photo 2 and 3. Later you will put them together on your display board.

   1. Create a PS document 12x4in 200 dpi and place this photo into it and resize/crop if needed. Then use a guide to divide the photo in half.

5. 8x10
6. 1 Photo print 8x10 or 10x8in
   1. Open a new PS document that is 10x8in for landscape or 8x10in for portrait, 200dpi. Insert the original photo (large size) into the document size. You should scale it down after you insert it; don't scale it up (this means the photo will be too small and pixelated after printing. Save a full quality JPG and print on photo paper at a place like emart.

   1. You will use the following photos to create a cube.

Photo Cube 6 Photos 4x6in then cut to 4x4in

• 4 cube photos & one self-portrait again; use this template to make a .25in black border around the edge_
• make sure you also print the one title graphic 4x6in

Post

When finished, post all of your photos to a Posterous article. You may upload them directly to Posterous instead of email for this one since Gmail's limit is 25mb but directly to Posterous is 100mb.
