Diptych Examples

In the diptych draft above, it is good that both the left and right side photos have the boy facing inwards. If they were outwards your eye would quickly go off and outside the photos. The photo on the left is also good because the closeup of his face is easily the first thing people see when they look at the entire diptych and it creates the rule of thirds for the diptych collage which is required.

You do not need to place your subject or person in many of the photos. Placing one is plenty.

The top and bottom middle photo is too much of a wide shot. Smaller photos should be more closeup shots. The boy shooting the ball and the middle photo of the ball about to go into the basket...this breaks the 180degree rule you learned.

Show similarity of seemingly different things (notice the band is now out of focus on the bottom photo)

Uses zoom to focus on the two main elements of the image and cuts out the space in between. It is okay to repeat a subject as long as you use one as a closeup.
