Your magazine layout should be four artboards in your Illustrator document file from the previous video tutorial that you completed.
Remember...
First Page (front cover) - Photograph you took with classroom studio lights and model with the Magazine title and other text
Second Page (left) - Your product advertisement
Third Page (right) - Article
Fouth Page (back) - Mr. Men Movie Poster
When finished with your final magazine, save the Illustrator file into the four artboards as a PDF. When you hit save a box will pop up with save options on how to save it (e.g. include layers, preview, etc), deselect all the checkboxes and save the file as PDF.
Email the PDF file to your Posterous. If it is too large to upload, try to upload it directly to Posterous. If it is still too large, upload the file to your dropbox instead and take a screenshot of the file in dropbox.
Export your four artboards as JPG RGB files and name them with the following format (this is very important):
ca4joe pg1
ca4joe pg2
ca4joe pg3
ca4joe pg4
and upload to the MF Picasa albums:
(check your class email for the album invitation and click on the link to add your pages). Use the caption format to show the pages: (e.g. ca3dawn15).
Print your magazine with glossy A4 photo paper. You can do this at a printing shop or you can get paper from me in the lab but it is letter size and you will need to resize your pages to that size so that part of your pages do not get cut off. Neatly paste or glue (I have if you need to borrow) your pages together to make them front to back or you can print them front to back. Group your pages together using black art tape or clear tape to create a binding so they stay together but make sure it is neatly done and does not look messy. Take a photo of you holding up your magazine and each page in Photobooth. If you get your friend to print it for you, they can hold up the magazine pages for you. Email the four photos to your posterous and name it Printed Magazine.
Submit Picasa article and the link to the first page in MF Picasa to the final project spreadsheet. Also submit the Posterous link showing you with the four pages of the printed magazine.
