Instructions
- Open your class Gmail and write an email to the parent who asks you most about your grades.
- After you enter your email, add mark.heil@yisseoul.org in the CC of the email so that I get a copy of it.
- Add the Subject heading for the email: Latest from Computer Applications
- In the body, include the following and write a 2-3 sentence paragraph for each of the bold headings below:
- Greeting: Hi Mom or Dad, ask them how they are doing at work (or home) and comment about something you guys have in common or Christmas coming up
- Learning: Share with them what you are learning in CA this quarter
- Project: Tell them about your photography project you are working on and tell them to see the attachment (attach three of your favorite photos from checkpoints 1-7)
- Grade: Tell them your current letter grade and what you are doing well or why you have a low grade.
- Posterous: Give them you Posterous home link and tell them they can view your site if they want to see your work in the future.
- Reply & Bye: Ask them to email reply back soon and tell you which of the three photo attachments they like the best (you will show me their reply next class for a completion grade). Also ask them what they want for Christmas! Finally, share how you miss them and hope they have a great day while saying bye
When I call parents to tell them how you guys are doing, I always ask them if you have been getting your emails and have been seeing your great work.
