Article

Watch the video to create your article setup. You will need to create your article on the third artboard since it will appear on the third page.

You will create the article of your magazine that will appear on the inside right page and the article content must coordinate with the featured person on the front cover.

Now read the content on design flow while taking notes in your CA book on what you learned. Make sure you don't make these same mistakes.

Your article must have the following requirements:

    • One photo must be a main photo that represents your article (photo taken recently by you for this assignment)
    • Include at least one image wrapped in the text that is an oval or circle in shape using a clipping mask (all images must be taken by you recently specifically for this article)
    • You may add additional photos if you want but make sure you don't add too many and use white space wisely
    • Text: title, written by, article content relating to the person on the front cover
    • Drop cap the first letter in your article's first paragraph

Design your article layout skeleton. The guides, grid, margin, and bleed lines need to be followed according to the video but you can choose your own type of layout (see example below). If you don't have your photos yet, create circles or rectangles and place them where you intend. Remember to keep in mind your color scheme for your magazine.

Post to Posterous your color scheme screenshot again, your layout setup, and your finished magazine layout (you can add the photos later this week if needed).
