CHECKPOINT 1

Partner A: Create your Antagonist and your minor character while using the previous main character directions as a reference reminder on how to create your characters. When finished, take a screenshot of your characters in one AI document and email to WP and the link to the spreadsheet.

Partner B: Animate your opening vertical pan story background. (bg#1)

CHECKPOINT 2

Partner A:

Complete the directions in printing your characters.

Partner B:

Follow the directions to create your second background in AI and import it into AE while animating two background objects and creating a 3D object. Upload to drive and WP and the link to the spreadsheet (bg#2).

CHECKPOINT 3

Partner A:

Animate background 2 and export the video file and place in your CA Drive folder and the link to the spreadsheet.

Partner B:

Follow the directions to create your third background in AI and import it into AE while animating two background objects and including at least one 3D object. Upload the video file to drive and the link to the spreadsheet (bg#3) and also the background to the MF Picasa album.

Partner B (bg4)

Create a new background 854 x 480 and follow the directions to create your 4th background in AI and import it into AE while animating two background objects and including at least one 3D object. Upload the video file to drive and the link to the spreadsheet (bg#4) and also the background to the MF Picasa album.

Partner C (aka partner A) (bg3)

Animate background 3 and export the video file and place in your public CA Story Drive folder along with the AE file and the video link to the spreadsheet.

CHECKPOINT 5

Partner B (bg5)

Create a new background 854 x 480 and follow the directions to create your 5th background in AI and import it into AE while animating two background objects and including at least one 3D object. Upload the video file to drive and the link to the spreadsheet and also the background to the MF Picasa album.

Partner C (aka partner A) (bg4)

Animate background 3 and export the video file and place in your public CA Story Drive folder along with the AE file and the video link to the spreadsheet.

CHECKPOINT 6

Partner B (bg6)

Create a new background 1500 x 480 and follow the directions to create your next background in AI and import it into AE while animating two background objects and including at least one 3D object. You will be creating a horizontal pan animation. If you think another scene would be better to use instead of background 6, let Mr. Heil know before creating it. Upload the video file to drive and the link to the spreadsheet and also the background to the MF Picasa album.

Partner C (aka partner A) (bg5)

Animate the next background and export the video file and place in your public CA Story Drive folder along with the AE file and the video link to the spreadsheet.

CHECKPOINT 7

Partner B (bg7)

Create a new background 854 x 480 and follow the directions to create your next background in AI and import it into AE while animating two background objects and including at least one 3D object. Upload the video file to drive and the link to the spreadsheet and also the background to the MF Picasa album.

Partner C (aka partner A) (bg6)

Animate the next background and export the video file and place in your public CA Story Drive folder along with the AE file and the video link to the spreadsheet.

CHECKPOINT 8

Partner B (bg8)

Create a new AI background 854 x 480 and follow the directions to create your next background in AI and import it into AE while animating two background objects and including at least one 3D object.

• You must place your narration into the background (40 points deducted if you do not).
• If you did not create a horizontal pan yet for your story, it must be done for bg8.
  • If the Guardian has not appeared yet, he should appear by bg8.

Upload the video file to drive and the link to the spreadsheet and also the background to the MF Picasa album.

Partner C (bg7)

Animate the next background.

• You must insert at least one sound effect (40 points deducted if you do not).
• When you animate the Guardian, you must move at least two parts of his body (arms, mustache, eyes, etc).
• If your partner did not create a horizontal pan yet for your story, it must be done by bg8 and you will need to do it if they did not.
  • If the Guardian has not appeared yet, he should appear by bg8.

Export the video file and place in your public CA Story Drive folder along with the AE file and the video link to the spreadsheet.
