Overview
Watch the transition example which has the three (and additional) transitions in the clip.
During class you will find a partner and use them as a subject to film. If you are absent, you will need to film anyone outside of class. You will use your phone to film them but make sure to watch the video and change your phone's settings to 1080p 60f; if your phone does not have this high of a setting use the highest 60f setting. This is not a group assignment, each person in the group has to film their own. Make sure to use props and be creative in your filming.
When you are done filming, go to your Google Drive app on your phone and upload the clips to the folder. Then transfer the video files to Premiere and drop some of the clips into the timeline.
Whip
Watch the first two minutes of this video tutorial to learn how to film the whip transition.
When filming, make sure the two clips that you will edit together have similar backgrounds so the whip is seamless.
Split
Watch the first minute of the video tutorial so you can better understand how to film a split transition. When filming you can either have the other person walk and as a separate clip use an object like the two examples shown in the Schoology post.
Post the Drive link to your footage and a screenshot of your Premiere screen showing some footage on the timeline and all the clips in the bin. You do not have to have it all finished & edited but start working on it.
Do not do
Wipe
When filming the wipe the person will be looking at the camera and using their hand to horizontally or vertically (you choose) wipe transition three times. Later in another class you will follow the video tutorial and create a similar effect but instead of linear, use vertical in the settings. video tutorial
