Self-Portrait Sketch

Check out the previous self portraits, portrait tips, & the cartoon samples.

Open Photo Booth on the iMac and spend no more than 15 minutes to sketch a really big simple cartoon character of yourself on a plain A4 paper in a t-shirt with no logos (cut off your drawing at the middle of your shoulders). Draw it dark with pencil, not light (or trace with marker) because when it will scan lighter. Print your first & last name on one of your shirt.

This sketch is a completion grade and you will not be graded down if you cannot draw but make sure you do the best you can. Later in another class you will be converting your image and tracing the sketch into a vector of yourself in AI for a grade.

Use your ID card and scan (directions) your sketch using the school printer and send the PDF scan to your school email and then upload to Schoology.
