Photo Contest Edits

Upload Unedited Photo Contest Image

Choose any of your photos that you have taken during the past four weeks but you must have a proof shot to go along with your photo. Your photo must follow these requirements:

-This photo does not have to be a square but it can be horizontal or you can crop a square photo to horizontal.

-At least 1mb in size (1,000kb) since you are printing it A4 size. Do not download it from Schoology as Schoology saves it as a lesser quality. If you crop it too much, it will also lessen the quality. If your photo is less than 2mb, the quality will be much less and you will receive a deduction.

-Must be a horizontal photo, not vertical and do not crop to horizontal as the size will be too small

-The photo does not have to follow any photo rules as long as it looks good

-Your image will be judged by a small group of photographers.

-You will be graded based on creativity from a student vote.

Use your Macbook Pro and open Lightroom Classic and follow the video tutorial on your iMac while taking notes. If you don't have Lightroom Classic go to Manager and download it from there, it usually takes 10-15 minutes to download.

You will need to submit final JPGs (see below on how to save a JPG) of your edited photo and the edited photo with the black matte border.

To create the JPGs, follow the directions:

Save Photo with Border

Click on the Printer text in Lightroom at the bottom right of the screen and Click on the PDF blue arrow and choose Open PDF in Preview.

In preview mode choose Export and use the same file name format as the example. Choose to Export JPG full quality.

Finished!

Save Edited Photo without Border

In Lightroom go to File at the top menu and choose Export; then choose JPG full quality.
