Premiere

Editing

You will be doing most of the editing of your MV footage with Premiere, which

gives you much more control and options in creating a video.

CP 1

Introduction: Import, Editing, Timeline, & Preview

Watch the videos [video part I] [video partI] and apply the tools in class to your MV. Take a screenshot of your Premiere timeline so you can see all the footage and post it to posterous.

*Important

If you move your MV project folder from your USB to a computer, it will not work because the video locations would be changed and it will say your media is missing. Make sure your USB is large enough with plenty of space to support your project. Make sure you daily make an exported copy of your work in case you lose your USB.

CP 2

    • Audio & Video Effects, Transitions, & Text
    • Effects (watch only the first five minutes) [video]
    • Transitions (a majority of your transitions should be "fade") [video]
    • Text [video] Directions on required text for your MV video partI
    • Take a screenshot of your Premiere timeline so you can see all the footage and post it to posterous.
    • Watch the videos and apply the tools in class to your MV; you do not need to post anything to posterous or comment.

CP 3

    • Watch the short video on how to apply effects to a group of clips [video] and then try and apply the ones that would be appropriate to enhance your MV.
    • Export a rough draft of your video to YT after you watch the tutorial [video]
    • Post the YT link to posterous and also include a zoomed in screenshot of your Adobe Premiere timeline in the same post. Type a short summary of the text, fades, and effects you used within Premiere. Post the posterous link to the spreadsheet.
