Overview
Think of an idea for your stop motion assignment.
Storyline
Be creative and choose a storyline that would best utilize and show a cool effect with stop motion effect that you could not do with normal video. You must film in normal landscape mode (horizontal), not portrait (vertical).
H
Club IdeasIf you are unsure of your storyline or what to do for your stop motion, you can make a stop motion video that advertises or promotes a social service or school group. Examples: an advertisement for Teens Helping Teens, Model United Nations, Basketball Team Promo, Speech & Debate, Habitat for Humanity, social service (save water, recycle, don't smoke), etc.
You will also need to create your title using stop motion. For example, draw "The Big Leap" or create it in another creative way and take 5-10 photos using stop motion techniques (example 1 & example 2).
Requirements
Stop Motion IdeaThinking of your video ideas can sometimes be challenging. Spend some time thinking of at least two good ideas for the following stop motion video assignments (30-50 seconds) and type it out in an email to WP; make sure to incorporate a key prop. Take a photo of this prop for the three ideas and post with the email to WP. Post the link to the spreadsheet. Then have anyone in CA make a comment in your WP post on which idea they like best.Part of your grade will be based on how well you utilize stop motion creatively and doing things that you could not do in normal life if filmed with video (e.g. jumping really high, changing your clothes with a snap, sliding on the ground instead of walking).
Here is an example of creative stop motion that you could not achieve just by filming.
Be original.
Old Examples (do not do):
Although you can draw photos to supplement your video like this example.
Or you can have creative drawings that show action and movement (animation) like this example.
