Print CD

Objective: To apply the skills learned for preparing a print job to print the best quality and to burn a song to a CD with appropriate meta data (rubric).

FIRST...Upload Files

Before you print, collect all of your JPG CD designs and save them as the following format with RGB and include the number:

Last Name, First Name 1(front),

Last Name, First Name 2(musician)

Last Name, First Name 3(label)

Last Name, First Name 4(producer)

Last Name, First Name 5(singer)

Upload these high quality 300dpi JPGs to the Google Drive folder.

SECOND...Glossy Front Cover

Open your AI files and print it on glossy A4 paper and turn it in. Then open your back cover singer AI files and print it on normal paper to turn in.

THIRD...Print

Print your images with the high quality JPGs using the school's color printers and be sure they are printed in RGB, not CMYK. If you followed the original AI dimensions directions, you should be able to print "as is" and do not "fit to page" and it should fit to the CD size.If Iyou

    • Do not print your CD label. you get the label sheet from class)
  • Print your CD booklet and front/back of the case cover on glossy or regular paper to print at home or the school printer and insert them into your plastic CD case. Be sure it prints clearly and is cut straight.
  • Make sure you cut straight (points off if it is not straight or showing white edges. Use double-sided tape to neatly stick together the front cover and instrument back booklet cover.
  • Take a photo of yourself holding your finished CD case and make sure to flip it if taken in PhotoBooth so that it is not backwards. Post the photo to Schoology and turn in your physical CD to Mr. Heil by Thursday 1:30pm

Do not do:

Part C

    1. Take your video file that you screen recorded of your GarageBand with Quicktime and import it into iMovie.
    2. Crop the video so that it shows your GB layers
    3. Mute the audio of the video clip
    4. Import your final mp3 song and align it on the video file so that it is in sync
    5. At the end of your video, insert your CD designs in the same order as you uploaded them to the MF Picasa Album. Allow each image to be displayed for five seconds each with a cross dissolve between each.
    6. Upload the video from iMovie to Youtube under the account

    8. For the title write Song Title, Main Singer you had sing it - Composed by your userID
    9. (Ask me to type the password in so you can upload it)

Buy a blank CD and burn your song to the CD and follow the directions to burn the song to your CD.
