Superhero Credits

You can choose to edit the handwritten names on the footage in After Effects or iMovie (instructions at the bottom). The format of the layout is the following:

    1. 3-4 seconds for the title of the film centered in the middle on a black background
    2. 4-5 seconds of establishing shot footage and place the handwritten animated name on one of the four rule of thirds points (always)
    3. 4-5 seconds of another film clip that matches well with the last clip and place the next name
    4. 4-5 seconds of another film clip that matches well with the last clip and place the next name

Total time should be about 20-24 seconds long. Go to http://freeplaymusic.com/search/, which is copyright free background music used for films. Download a very short clip that appropriately matches the time and mood of your opening scenes. Fade it out at the end so it does not end abruptly. When finished, export the 20-24 sec intro to YT to post.

If you choose to set it up in iMovie, here is an example of the timeline. You place your footage first and then you place the handwriting on top and choose the "picture-in-picture" option. If the name shows up but there is a black box around it...it probably means they saved it wrong and did not save it as + Alpha Channel. You can resave it, do it over, or just edit the intro in After Effects.
