Apps 3.4

Each week from Tuesday through Monday you should post to Evernote,

Search, & Calendar. Then on Tuesday or Thursday in class, it will be checked.

Evernote, Search, Task, & Calendar.

There are a few changes in blue (below) so make sure you read carefully.

Google CalendarYour Google Calendar will be checked on your Sunrise phone app in class (or on your iMac if you do not own a smartphone). You will need to use your Google calendar to keep track of reminders either for school or personal (e.g. Science Test, Club Meeting, Away Game, Jay's Birthday). Create at least three on your calendar each week.

EvernoteDecide how Evernote can best help you at school and at home. Decide which classes or other areas (sports, clubs, personal) you will want to use Evernote for and create at least three notes in Evernote each week (you can include the two that are required below and just create one addition one) and place them in the appropriate notebooks and tag them as share.

For one of your notes this week, create an audio note. To do this, you must open the Evernote application on your computer and go to File > New Audio Note and record yourself summarizing in 60 seconds what were some of the best and worst things that happened over the past few days.

Click here and add the Evernote Web App and the Evernote Web Clipper to your Chrome browser which will appear at the top toolbar once added. View the video on Web Clipper if you need help.

Google SearchCheck out the Helpful Tips Graphic for new ideas. Conduct a helpful Google search for a class (e.g. research paper, math class, etc) or something useful in your personal life in Google Chrome. The search must use one of the advanced tools and do not repeat a similar search that you have posted in a previous week. After you see the list of your Google search results, click on the Evernote elephant logo at the top on your chrome toolbar.

-Your cursor will turn into a highlighter, highlight the site or information that is most useful to you.

-On the clip options (example below), select Full Page.

-In Organize, choose Postach.io and add the tags published and share.

Google TaskGo to your school students.yisseoul.org email and click on Gmail at the top right and choose Tasks. Then add three things that you would like to get done this week and add the date you would like to complete them this week (e.g. clean my room, buy a present, Buy new SD Card). Google Calendar is for events or things that are going to happen. Tasks are things you would like to work on (progress). When you are done, use the Evernote Web App clipper and clip the page but instead of choosing full page (e.g. screenshot above) like you did last time, choose screenshot and web clip just a screenshot of your tasks and place it in your Postach.io album. Post the Postach.io web link to the spreadsheet.

Each week it will be graded as the following:

    • 30pts Evernote (10pts for each note)
    • 30pts Advanced Google Search Technique, Web Clipper, & Postach.io
    • 10pts Google Calendar
    • 10pts Google Task
    • 10pts Using correct Cornell note structure for that week's notes in class
    • 10pts Bring SD Card
    • 100 Points Total

You do not have to submit anything to WordPress or the spreadsheet for this assignment. It will check it in class.
