Gradients with the Mesh Tool

In this lesson on type, you'll learn how to do the following:

• Create gradients using the mesh tool.

• Drawing with the pen tool.

• Rotating and twisting objects.

Directions

You will be creating bamboo for your panda that you previously made as well as a background for your panda. Decide if you want your portrait to be horizontal or vertical and make it A4 in size but try to make it vertical as it is easier. Open your panda AI file that you previously made and insert him into your document and resize as needed. These will be printed and displayed so try and do a good job.

Follow the two video tutorials (you can skip the part when it tells you to twist the bamboo if it does not work), Part I & Part II, and insert your bear and bamboo into your tutorial 1 fun sunny day image. Add a mountain in the distance using the pen tool and anything else you wish.

In the bottom corner of your document, insert your Howzit photo that you used in the Grunge tutorial but make sure there is no background to your photo (like the example below).

Post the jpg to Schoology in full quality.
