Overview
During this quarter you were taught studio lighting, how to take portrait photos, and various techniques from the video.
You also watched a video that showed various of studio lighting to get good contrast and lighting.
I also showed you in class how to use the small flash as your key light, the large constant light as your fill light, and the other small flash as modeling light. I have been viewing student portrait photos and some have taken the correct lighting (like Soo on the the left with contrast lighting, while others used primarily the two large constant lights to make no contrast lighting and cause it to be more organge and pale.
Also, your final photograph that you choose should not have square shoulders, like you were taught, and please be creative. Remember, the magazine portrait is an important assignment and hope you can get top 10. If you would like to retake your photo, you may take in class or AP this Tue and Wed or Tue after school. When you are finished with your magazine, they will be printed and displayed not only this year but for future years so I hope you are proud of your creative work!
