Lighting is the most important in photography...and video appearance. Create an adjustment layer to certain clips that need lighting improvements (example). You can extend the adjustment layer to overlay to your whole video or certain clips. You can also copy and paste the adjustment layer and apply to the clips you want. Take a screenshot of your entire Premiere screen showing the adjustment layer on your timeline and the basic correction coloring that you used. Also take a screenshot of the before and after of one of your clips with and without the adjustment layer.
In the effects options (below), you can choose a certain coloring preset and apply to your clips. These presets already have the color adjustment and made for film. Try at least one of them to one of your clips and then choose if you want to use it and to how much of your video.
