Stop Motion

Overview

Create a stop motion video using digital pictures with the following:

Requirements

• The video must include you in it
• It should be creative and entertaining with a creative purpose and plot
• The final video must be at least 30 seconds of stop motion video (not including the intro/credits)
• Include an appropriate background song that matches your video
• Add an intro title and credits using your favorite video editing program

Directions

• Watch the iMovie or the Windows Movie Maker Stop Motion tutorial to learn how to make stop motion
• It is essential that you change the picture duration; if you use Windows Movie Maker, on the top toolbar click Tools > Options > Advanced and change the picture duration to no higher than .250 seconds and the transition duration to .75 seconds
• If you use iMovie, the picture duration is to be no higher than .250 seconds and the transition duration to .75 seconds
• You will need to take at least 130 quick consecutive photos to meet the 30 second requirement
• Make sure you use the content learned from video shots and angles

Post

• Upload to YT and give it the title: A Unique Title by Your Name, a stop motion video (mfca)
• Example: "Bad Day" by David Suh, a stop motion video (mfca)
• Email the link to your posterous and paste the link to the spreadsheet
• Also, post a video (not a screenshot) to the correct MF Picasa album; in the caption write title, By Your Name classID (e.g. Bad Day, By David Suh ca0david14)
