    • Copy key frames to repeat an action (position)
    • Composition: Solo, hide, lock, & shy layers
    • Using markers on the timeline

examples to get creative animation ideas. You do not have to create text. Now watch the video tutorial to animate a snowman (remember you can use any color and design style you want to personalize it & unique) & use TRAPS (opacity, rotation, anchor, position, & scale). Then melt your snowman with the tutorial (keyframe screenshot example on the right).Render as H.264 but if your video file size is too big for Schoology (e.g. over 100mb)

then open your .mov video in Quicktime & export it in 720 or 480).Upload the video to Schoology.

Part B

Then melt your snowman with the tutorial (keyframe screenshot example on the right).

Render as H.264 but if your video file size is too big for Schoology (e.g. over 100mb)

then open your .mov video in Quicktime & export it in 720 or 480).Upload the video to Schoology.

DO NOT DO:

Open AE and do the following:

    • cmd + n to open a new composition and change the duration to 08;00 seconds instead of 30:00 seconds. Change the Preset to the following.
    • Then press cmd + y and change the background color of your choice.

Make sure you already watched and took notes on the overview (title it Snowman 1 in your notes).

Watch the video tutorial to animate a snowman but you should create your own style of snowman and make him do whatever you want; do not make it exactly like the tutorial. Meet the following requirements:

    1. Clearly use and show each of the TRAPS which you will be graded on (don't forget scale)
    2. Use rotation for the snowman's arm
    3. For the text, use your name (not Howzit) and make it appear and then disappear

You will be graded on using TRAPS, each being 20pts each so if you miss one it will be an 80%. Extra points will be given to create creative animations and a coupon to the most creative in each class.

When finished, render it in H.264 and upload the video file to Schoology.

When you export your finished videos, always follow these directions (watch only the first two minutes). In future tutorials it may tell you to export or render differently but always revert and save it this way.

When you are finished, insert your png signature picture in the bottom right. Make sure that the area around you is transparent and does not show a white block. If you don't have it, make it again using the video tutorial.
