2.Plot

Plot Checkpoint read all of the directions on the page before you begin

Create a new album in your picasa named "Story Plot by Your First Name"

For each of picture captions, label them an appropriate name (e.g. Title, Buble.us, Storyboard #3)

Insert the following into the album in the following order:

    1. In Illustrator, create a simple text image with creative font for your story title (tips on choosing a title)
    2. caption: (use captions instead of comments so that you can edit them): explain why you chose that title using at least two of the tips
    3. The printscreen of your bubl.us (directions)
    4. Using the same text you used to create your title create a text image using the words "Story Setup"
    5. caption: include the following along with the story info for each (read the story setup info)
      1. Audience:
      2. Theme:
      3. Drive:
      4. Geography:
      5. Setting:
    6. In Illustrator (few extra bonus points) or drawn on paper, create a timeline and show the elements of your story and upload a screenshot or JPG (make sure that it is large enough and can read the text). Follow the example.
    7. caption: Include the following information for your story
      1. Introduction:
      2. Conflict:
      3. Rising Action:
      4. Climax:
      5. Falling Action:
      6. Conclusion:
      7. --------------------------------------------
      8. Twist (you can choose where the twist will go in your time line)
    8. Insert a photo of each of your four main characters (one per picture)
    9. caption: Include the following information (example).
        1. Name:
        2. Type:
        3. Age:
        4. Description:
        5. Personality:
        6. About:
      1. Role:
    10. Take a photo of each storyboard scene and upload the photos in order of the story's sequence (directions)
    11. caption: Write the text of the story and indicate who is talking; at the bottom, explain how you want to animate the scene with the characters, objects, and backgrounds
    12. e.g. Narrator: One fine day there was a frog named Mr. Doodles
    13. Mr. Doodles exclaimed, "I am hungry, do you want to go to the pond and catch flies?"
    14. Animation: Mr. Doodles hopping down the path while whistling a song with musical notes coming out of his mouth. Since it is the Fall, the leaves will be falling from the trees.
    15. Using the same title text, create a text image with the words "Story Preview"
    16. comments: the YT link of your screencast
    17. You need to be sure that it meets the time requirement (5-8 minutes) so you will use Screentoaster to your screen as you go through each of the storyboards in your picasa album and read your story which is found in the captions (do not read the animation). We learned how to use Screentoaster in first quarter so sign into your account and upload to YT. You may also use a video editing program (e.g. Windows Movie Maker) or a video camera if Screentoaster does not work for you.

After you are finished, email the picasa link to posterous and paste the posterous article link to the checkpoint spreadsheet.

I know this is a lot of work for this checkpoint so if you need more time, I will accept Extension requests on Saturday, Feb 20, (or 24 hours before the due date) but you have to have posted part of the completed work (include the link in the Extension form in order for it to be accepted).

Ignore: divide up each section of text into separate comments for all the pictures
