The most important part of this assignment is taking the photo and making sure you use an expressive face & creative face/pose and one that has good highlights on your face due to the nature of how you will later edit the photo in Photoshop. In the examples of Jane, it shows you a good contrast on her face and later in Photoshop we will be breaking down the highlights and shadows and there must be a contrast on the face. The original photo of Jane on the top right is good because there are bright highlights on the left side of her face from the natural light (sun) and shadows on the right side, which creates a good contrast. The same highlights can be seen in different parts of her jacket. Try and get a close-up on the face that cuts at about the shoulders; in the image on the right, it should be cropped at the top of the G Guardian letter.
This photo is really good because her facial features have a darker contrast, the photo is clear, and it is easy to read her name.
This is a good pose and good features shown in her eyebrows, eyes, nose, and lips. The shine on her hair and the fray in her hair on her left has a good effect although a little too heavy on the text.
This photo has good contrast on her face and body. Although, the text on her face and shoulders is a little too heavy and it is difficult to read any of her name but I liked how her name gets cut off on the left and the right and you can piece her name together.
This student's facial expression is really good (creative) and the contrast darks on her face have a really good balance and not too dark...maybe the best facial details I have seen...but when she scattered the text, it is too thick and you can't read any of her name so she had to scatter her name outside her face, which you should not do.
This is a really good creative pose. He also did a good job in using a variety of text, some thick and big so you can easily read his name and some small and thin. But you don't need to type your name randomly outside your face or body.
This photo has an abstract sense to it and a good angle in her face. It is a little dark on her left eye but her nose and lips are great details.
This photo has a lot of light highlights which makes it really good.
There is not contrast in lighting on her face in the one below and too much of the face is white.
In this one, there is too much shadow contrast in the wrong areas and it is hard to distinguish the face.
