Read about significant early images. Spend only a few minutes on each page and write down the topic/year, individual, description of the early image, and a couple main things you learned. Take a photo with your laptop of your notes and post to posterous & the link to the tut spreadsheet.
Early Photographers
Read the ten significant early photographers. Spend about four minutes on each page. After you read over the info and look at the photos (watching the videos are optional), write down the following in your CA book (be neat and organized in your notes)
the individual and main years of influence and how he became a photographer
description of the photographer's works and themes
a couple main things you learned from the info that you think I would quiz you on; I would not quiz you on little details like the day he was born, the state they grew up in (just knowing they were American would be efficient), and other things like this.
Then take a photo of your notes and post to posterous and the link to the spreadsheet.
Photographer's Topics
View the slideshow. Look over each photographer's collection of photographs and find the common themes. In your CA book, write the following for each photographer:
Photographer's name
A phrase that best describe the topic
Something interesting about the photographer's work that you observed about the common themes in their photography.
Also mention what you personally like or dislike about each collection or style.
Take a photo of your notes and post to posterous & the link to the spreadsheet.
Click on the first image (text: Alexandre Orion). Read the comments that I copied and posted about the photographer. In your CA book, write down the following but do not spend more than 20 minutes time writing the notes and write quick phrases. You will not be quizzed on this material but it will help you get ideas.
Photographer's name
A phrase that best describe the topic
Something interesting about the photographer or work from the comment under the photo of the photographer's name
