Overview

This assignment will teach you more about various browsers and their features while understanding which is best.

With a partner, signup for a browser that the two of you would like to research.

View the graphic and observe the the history of the browser and the celebrity browser info graphics; this will help you in your research. continue to use other sources in your research.

Publishing

Go to web browsers and click "Create Page" at the top right (make sure you are signed in to your class gmail account). Use the name of your browser (e.g.Chrome) as your title. Make sure you choose "Put page Under Web Browsers"

Features

Using any screencast application or software, record a screencast demonstrating the web browser's features. Focus on the features it has that other browsers do not have. The video should not be1-2 minutes. Make sure your demonstration is smooth and you have preloaded pages so you do no have to wait many pages to open and it helps you stay organized.

Upload this video to castudents password happyhowzit and title the video The Features of the __________ browser. In the description section of the video, write one sentence describing the video.

Then view your video and click "Share" to the right of the "Add to" -- then click Embed and check mark "Use old embed code" located below the HTML code.

Then go to your page your created and in edit mode, click on the HTML icon on the toolbar and paste your HTML in the box after you delete everything inside the box. Change all the width sizes to "600" and all the height sizes to "385" & click update.

Early History

Write a paragraph on how the browser was first made and why the creators made it. What was their original intent for their browser and how did they envision theirs as different than the others.

Popularity

Use the w3schools statistics and create a pie chart showing the browser statistics popularity in Microsoft Excel. Use icon images from the Internet to place them on each pie slice, similar to the different images on the chart to the right but only separate your browser from the whole pie, not all of them.Then in the same workbook but a new sheet, create a line graph showing how much the browser has been used by using the January percentage on w3schools statistics for each of the years starting in 2002 (or the birth year of the browser) up until this year. Email mark.heil@yisseoul.org your Excel workbook and in the subject write Browser Background on Name of your Browser. Take screenshots of the graphs and upload them to the googlesite page. Under the line graph, write a paragraph explaining any big changes (positive or negative) which resulted in any sudden increases or decreases that contributed towards the popularity (negative & positive). Under the pie graph, write a short paragraph on which browser is its biggest thread and why.

Pros & Cons

Insert a two row, two column table into the page and list the pros and cons. Format the table as shown below but choose your own coordinating colors. Describe the pros and cons of the browser in general and in relation to their competition.

Mobile

If they have a mobile phone app (e.g. iPhone app), write a paragraph sharing the features it has and cover the advantages and disadvantages compared to their competitor mobile apps.

Photos

Insert one coordinating picture in each of the text only paragraphs and choose Align R, Size S, and Wrap on.

At the bottom of your page, type By Your Names.
