View the videos (only if you were absent from class or taking the class online).

Then begin creating your own storyboards (download & print if needed) from your script.

Complete the storyboard; take a photo of the last page you made and post to Wordpress.

Part A

Number your storyboards starting with #1 and write it in the top left corner of each storyboard. Then write Page 1 in the bottom left corner of the first page and continue numbering the pages from 1-9. Make sure you write Act I, II, and III above the storyboard when the Act begins.

Complete storyboard pages 1-5

Try your best to follow this storyboard distribution among the Acts

    • Act I: pages 1-2
    • page 3 can be an extended Act I, start of Act II, or a transitional blend of both
    • Act II: pages 4-6
    • page 7 can be Act II, Act II, or a transitional page with a blend of both
    • Act III: pages 8-9

Rubric

You will not be graded on how well you can draw but you will be graded on the following:

    • Chronological flow of the story using the storyboards
    • Correctly filling out the V.A.S. below the storyboards (remember for "S" not to write the subject shot or angle but to write the important action shots and cuts.
    • Make sure you vary your subject shots and angles in your drawings.
    • You are required to have each of the angles including a dutch.
    • Following composition rules
    • Completing the directions and requirements

Take photos with your camera or your Macbook (make sure you flip the photos so they are the correct direction) of each storyboard page. Post them to your Picasa album named Film Storyboards and post the link to the album to Posterous.

Next class, you may be asked to present your storyboards to the class like the guy pitched his Toy Story idea to the group. So be prepared.

Part B

Complete storyboard pages 6-9

Do not add any additional pages to your storyboards. If you run out of storyboards, just stop where you are at.

Take photos with your camera or your Macbook (make sure you flip the photos so they are the correct direction) of each storyboard page. Post them to your Picasa album named Film Storyboards. Take a screenshot of and post the link to the album to Posterous.

Bring your completed storyboard worksheet to class.
