Parts of a Computer

Watch Computers in Plain English to get a brief overview on computers. Then watch Computer Parts Explained by Mr. Heil (video one, two & three). Try to draw a very simple brief sketch of each part explained in video three with a short description of its purpose.

Motherboard

If you were not given a motherboard worksheet in class, print it out. Using a pencil, fill in the blank boxes with the name of the part (underline it) and write a phrase in your own words describing what that part does. Keep it in your CA book and you will get credit for it on the next quiz when it is checked.

Do not do:

Take a photo of yourself with your computer holding your finished motherboard with your name in marker at the top corner and upload to Schoology.

Upload your photo of yourself holding your motherboard with your name written in marker and large font at the top of your paper. You must bring your paper next class for credit as well.

Some people think a motherboard looks like a city...share what your favorite city is outside of Korea and give three reasons why or what you like to do there.

   5. Take a photo of yourself holding your finished motherboard with your name in marker at the top corner and email to WordPress. The subject email should be the bold title above and type [category technology] in the first line of the email body. Copy and paste the link to the spreadsheet.

   1. Watch the very short videos below to learn about the Internet while taking Cornell Notes in your CA notebook:

   5. -How Google Search works video
   6. When finished, do not post anything to WordPress but be ready to show your notes and take a future quiz on the material.
