Overview
You will be learning more about Internet security and creating a video in order to teach to others. Sign up for one of the topics and then use the title to create a page under Internet Security. In this checkpoint you will be planning and in the next one you will be filming and editing this assignment.
Examples
You will create and direct a video skit that is under three minutes which clearly demonstrates the security topic that you chose. The video must be a funny way to illustrate the content, similar to the examples below but make sure that the content is clearly taught and illustrated:
Cuts
You will use various cuts, angles, and shots that you have learned. Look at the example below and notice how well they did with how they shot it and their sound effects for emphasis.
Summary
First, research your topic and write a paragraph for each of the headings while inserting it to your Security page you created. Include the headings but not the questions on your page:
Overview
What is it and why do they do it?
Infected
How do you get it? Do PCs, Macs, or both get it?
Prevention
What can I do to prevent it? What can I do if it gets infected?
Penalty
What is the penalty for those who get caught doing it?
Review
Write four good questions and answers which cover content from your topic.
At the bottom of the page, type By Your Name and include a black and white photo below the text and change the picture setting to S for small
ActingNow think of an idea on how you can illustrate your topic in a comical way. The theme of all the videos will be Internet Security Superheroes! Your video will have a villain and a superhero, you. Create a creative superhero costume and give yourself a name and put a label or of your initial(s) on your chest (similar to Superman). Make sure the villain does a good job of dressing up to (you should not need to buy anything). Take a photo of the superhero and villain dressed up.
Grading
Your video will be graded on
Your page will be graded on how well you summarize the topic in your own words to a level that can be understood. This is an important assignment and will carry additional weight in the gradebook.
Script
Write out the script of the video in a Google Doc and share it with someone who does not understand what your topic is about and have them read it. Then ask them to insert comments in the Doc to help improve it and to make sure it is easily understandable. Take a screenshot of the doc with the comments.
Setup
Before the start of your story, write in an organized way the actors and roles and locations where you will film. You must film some of it outside because of the good lighting. If you film in doors it must be really good lighting. Use extra lamps if necessary. Make a numbered list on the sequence of what you will film first, second, etc. In parentheses, indicate the location and actors involved for each. Take a screenshot of your setup.
Seven Cs
In the same doc, write the seven C headings at the bottom of your script and explain how you will creativily accomplish these. Take a screenshot of the seven Cs. Then share the doc with mouseflip@gmail.com so that I can view/edit the doc.
Practice
In a room, record you and another person going over the whole story. You do not have to move around much but do just light acting out of the scenes in a small space. The two of you can read other people's parts. The purpose of this is to get the total time and to hear how the script sounds when read out loud.
