Character Animation

Directions

You have now created your background and made revisions based on student and teacher feedback. Make sure you have used the following in your backgrounds:

    • Gradients
    • Accent shading on the edges (e.g. Popsicle character tutorial)
    • Pathfinder tool to combine shapes
    • Correct perspective

You also have animated at least two objects in your background in a creative way. Moving the clouds and sun is not the most creative animation so make sure you have other animations to show your AE skills.

Now you will animate your characters and objects according to your story's lines for 10 seconds. Remember to be creative in your animations. Use the Chuckles the Bear file attached to the Schoology assignment. When you import him into AE, use the video below:

Again, you may use objects and characters that other classmates used if you need to repeat them in the scene.

In Garageband, record your voice saying your story's lines using Quicktime.

When you talk, speak slowly and animate your voice in a fun but professional way. Try to take your time and reach about 10 seconds long, which is the length of your AE timeline, but do not go over. Export them as an MP3 file and import it into your AE file and make the animations align to your voice.

Export as H.264 and upload to Schoology.
