Switch back between vocals and storyline

This video was made by my former students in Thailand. It was one of the best I ever saw. We did not have GarageBand so they had to sing someone's song but regardless, their storyline concept was awesome. She did a great job of getting her friends together and playing as a band and switching back and forth in the MV.

So Fun

I know I know...this is the song from Friends and she did not have to write the song, but regardless, it is some very creative video ideas and a consistent theme which is fulfilled in the end...you have to admit that.

Organized Humor

Many students try to be funny and add humor in their MV. Many are not successful, but Kazu hit a homerun with his storyline. The most funniest MV I have seen.

Creative & Fun

This song is still stuck in my head. Very creative, original, and fun. Sometimes you have to try new things, even if it seems silly. This song was most requested in class to view and many of the teachers were talking about it. The song is great and the MV is good. Francis could have done a lot better with the MV but has a solid catchy song.

Creative Storyline

Joshua did a great job using various symbols and events to lead up to a climax that left you surprised. So creative when he goes to the bathroom only to be haunted by the F...and with sticky notes!

Creative Effects

Tamas wanted a challenge and used his brother as two different actors with creative camera angles to fool the eye. Very impressive.

Overall Good

Annie had a good storyline, nice angles, and told the story well.

Effects

You have to check out Ray's creative effects with various types of screens.

Potential

Of all the non "A" projects, this one was my favorite because it was so entertaining. His lyrics were very creative and different, the effects on his voice were unique and fun, and he had good ideas. Although, he did not do very well on the video part of his project which really brought his grade down.

Just Dance

If you watch a lot of upbeat music videos, you will find that many feature a "crew" of people who have a choreographed dance either separate or with the singer. I have noticed that many Korean MVs have the singers do this. I was very surprised that last year only one student integrated choreographed dance into his MV so he received a lot of points for it, especially in the area of creativity but he forgot to insert a separate storyline. So if you are going have a choreographed dance, which would be great, make sure you switch back and forth with the storyline plot.

Great job in editing and cuts.
