WORST INTERNSHIP

I did an internship at Amazon this past summer. I was not a good fit and I was miserable every single day of the four months.

I’m a software developer that does it for the paycheck. While I like solving problems and building things, what I actually like is earning money and spending it on my hobbies and social activities.

The biggest issue I faced at Amazon was getting help from colleagues. It seemed that nobody ever had time to help me learn, possible due to their own unreasonable project deadlines.

I’m now in the financial sector with a much better work/life balance (which is apparently something Bezos said he doesn't believe in). I'm making significantly less pay, but I am much much happier!
