The moment you get injured

Amazon will lie to your face and make you feel like being part of their company means something. But the moment you get injured (which will happen sooner or later working in the environments they put you in), you will see your management's true colors. You are nothing but a number to them, so if you can't bust your butt any more, you probably won't keep your job very long. That is, unless you manage to play politics to get preferential treatment like some do. Those people will stand around doing nothing and get paid for it instead of being reprimanded for it. Others will get yelled at and fired for taking a break to go to the bathroom. I wish I was joking but this is the honest truth.

They also have mandatory overtime during peak. Worst of all, you won't know if you have to work until the day before. If you don't show up, they take your paid time off away. You can even lose your job for not showing up to these last minute mandatory shifts.

I am only 26 and I ended up getting fired after my knees were so inflamed I could not walk the many miles pickers have to travel around the building. I also had a sore back from the amount of bending I had to do for certain tasks. I was offered paperwork to be filled out by my doctor in order to keep my job, even though my injuries were work related so this was illegal. Even though I did get my paperwork done, that was not good enough and I was fired. Amazon was the worst job I've ever had.
