bad behavior in meetings is normal

I worked at Amazon for 3 years and, unfortunately, a lot of the points made in the NY Times article ring true to me.

Most notably, I witnessed a hell of a lot of bad behavior in meetings. This can depend on how sensitive you are (I personally hate seeing people be yelled at). I don't think it's right for a manager to yell and curse at their employees. It isn't motivating and doesn't really accomplish a lot. Amazon is the only place I've worked where this behavior was "normal". Of course, this didn't happen at every meeting.

I developed anxiety from working at Amazon, and was actually told by my doctor to find a new job (I'm not joking). I started having anxiety attacks while at work, which transformed to anxiety attacks while driving to work, which then turned into having anxiety at all times. This went away shortly after I started working at a different company.
