Passive aggressive culture

Amazon's management style is very abrasive. The culture is very passive aggressive so it is very subtle but ultimately, it's dog eat dog with no redeeming qualities. A lot of projects and work is done without really being thought through. The result is a lot of chaos. Because of insanely high turnover, it is difficult to gain any traction on new ideas or projects as your peers, managers, and dependent teams change over constantly. However, there are lots of lies about supposed success being told in the annual review process to reward those who ingratiate themselves to their boss. Everyone else is sacrificed to the gods of the 10-70-20 curve, with the bottom 20% being shown the door, regardless of how well they actually did their jobs.
