Workplace carnage

My cousin worked for Amazon last year. After his first month, he filled me that that he saw more people being booted out or leaving than new employees who came in. There is a revolving door of employees who are constantly burning out, so this doesn't bode well for building a collegial culture since your workplace friends may disappear overnight. Six months later, he was really stressed out but told me that he was at least trying to stay to his finish a fully year so that he didn't have to repay his relocation bonus. A month later, he "rage quit" without even giving notice. After that horrible experience, he couldn't even apply for a new job for 6 months while he recovered from the physical and psychological toll of being around so many abusive people.

We consumers of Amazon all benefit from this workplace carnage, so we need to decide whether to contribute to it by remaining Amazon customers. The first step is to educate yourself, so please spend the time to read these stories and take them seriously as these are real human beings suffering through these traumatic experiences.
