Employee emotional needs

I have been with Amazon since last year. I was in my probationary period, and in October 2017 my mom passed away. I took a leave of absence because I was very heart broken. I took the minimum of 15 days, but thinking about it now I wish I could have taken more time off. I came back still in a depressed state because of the passing of my mom. When I went back to work my numbers weren't great because I was so emotional. The Tuesday before Thanksgiving our manager was going around talking to the employees, but instead of getting support I got a verbal warning. My manager said, "This is a verbal warning. Don't let your numbers get low again or you will be written up." I was stressed already because of my mom's passing, but he didn't care and neither does any of the other managers.
