The principles of hypocrisy

Let's look at Amazon’s so-called "leadership principles". They look good, right? Totally wrong. Most people, especially long-time Amazonians who only care about their own preservation, use them exclusively to badmouth others and for no productive purpose. Even more hypocritically, they use them completely qualitatively, which is totally hilarious at such a supposedly data driven company. These are the ultimate political tools which have no value other than to excuse illegally firing people who are actually doing a good job, but aren't their manager's favorite friends.

And it's even more abused in Anytime Feedback than in any other way. Do you want to anonymously get your coworkers in trouble? Amazon’s behind you. Just remember, others will be doing the same to you, especially blowing up any small missteps you make. The only fools who don't do it are the people who think that the performance management process is based any actual honest performance measurement in any way. All of this feedback is sent right to your micromanaging boss. Don't worry, you will inevitably make those small mistakes because you will be working hard and fast while being tired. You will be getting constantly graded against the idiotic supposed "principles" that don’t make sense for mature professionals. And then you will be sunk like every other Amazonian who tries to win this sick game, driving everyone to behave as evil as possible.
