performance track record doesn't matter

I worked at Kindle for five years. I was promoted in year three and then became a manager and managed six people. I got along really well with my peers and got a good review from my manager for two more years. After that, new management came in and I was shoved out within three months. My past track record didn't matter, they wanted me gone so they created all kinds of lies about my performance and then pushed me out. HR didn't care about the truth - they just told me that I wasn't a good fit for Amazon any more and helped the liars. They're despicable.
