Can do better

I have been working for amazon for about 4-5 months. I was told from day one that I could only be converted to blue badge when conversions are open and that management will let employees know with time in advance to apply for the conversion. Last conversion was on last fall. I applied but couldn't get it. For the past 3 months, management has been saying that the blue badge conversion will be available in the middle of the month but nothing yet, somehow people has been converted to blue badge while the rest of the employees don't get the same opportunity, and I'm sure this been happening for a while now. After seeing this I went to talk to the warehouse manager and HR, the answer was “we don't do such thing nobody has been converted to blue badge we only let people apply when conversions are open and give 3 weeks in advance” but how come some some people been converted to blue badge if theres only one way to do it.

Another thing is the points system, some employees will have the benefit of having all their points removed. I do understand for some people the point were given by the system because of an error with the shift codes but I'm talking about the points you get for being late for clocking out earlier etc.

Another thing is “safety” theres no such thing. yeah everybody do the safety walk everybody listens to safety tips but nobody follows up on it for example if they said you most have your gloves on, 30min later more than 5 people with no gloves and nobody making sure when I first started working there was a safety person making sure safety procedures are being followed so nobody gets hurt another example is, we were told that we were only allowed to take the racks/carts down between two people allowing whoever goes first to get to the bottom then the other 2 will take the other rack down Giving enough space so nobody gets hurt, this safety procedure is only followed if we are not busy which is almost impossible which means maybe once a month we will follow that safety protocol, most of the racks/carts are broken or the wheels are a out to fall and still used which can result in an accident, we are asked to go faster even letting us take 2 racks per person or even 3 and 4, boxes are always stack very high on the racks which can result in a box hitting my head when it comes to picking bags are not being closed which allows packages to fall and be damage resulting in a lost for amazon packages are constantly on the floor instead of in a rack

Maybe like 1-2 weeks ago our warehouse manager told everybody that we must clock out at the time our shift ends not later than that or we would get a warning, how come some people are allow to stay extra but not others?

Another thing that I cant understand is why some people have to work harder than others I've seen people doing nothing while I'm working hard and still get away with it being honest more than 50 percent of the people get away with being lazy or doing less than others while the hard working individuals like me are being asked for more constantly.

I'm always at the same door and if you check the cameras some days I'm left alone there doing everything while others do nothing or while other are having a conversation or just looking for something to pass time like going to the bathroom constantly or looking at a box as if the box is talking to them. And its simple just because I'm a hard worker person doesn't mean others got to do less or let me do it by myself just because I can handle it I can handle many things that doesn't mean I have to do them alone when we are a TEAM. Even if amazon was understaffed thats still not my fault as a employee; which is not the case anyway, we have enough employees. If the cameras/system are checked for the past 2 months everything thats on this email will show.

Another thing that not respected at this warehouse is seniority. There are people that get a transfer in a week and other been waiting 5 months. It's really sad that it doesn't matter how hard you work or try you will only be given stuff if you're liked. I’ve seen the employees/clients reviews for this warehouse and we all seem to agree that it's not at its best. I'm not the only one who feels this way. There are more employees that can tell you the same thing which is sad because amazon is a great company to work for but management its always going to be key to how the warehouse its going to work.

Just to be clear I'm not asking for my blue badge on the down low. I'm not asking for my points to be removed. I'm asking for everybody to be treated as equally. I don't feel like I'm being treated as an equal and I feel like I'm being discriminated here and its not hard to be fair. It just takes the right leadership. All I'm asking for if I could please be transfer to another warehouse, like another one nearby where everybody seems to have a goal to meet by the end of the day and its near my house and it also allows me to do full time which I really need.

I am a hard worker this you can ask any manager or see it on camera and I want to stay with amazon like I said I believe this is a great company to work for and I'm just trying to keep giving my best at another location.

I started with amazon with the shift code AAAA so I'm flex and can only work when vet is available which wasn't the best option but that was the opportunity I was given so I took it. At the hiring event they said amazon worked by seniority which is fair. Since my first day I been trying to change my schedule from flex to set schedule. I was constantly asking management for a set schedule but I was always ignored then they go and hire a lot of new people and did not give me a schedule it was very upsetting but again I had to make it with amazon so kept my head up and told myself i will have a chance next time then new schedules come up giving people the access to set schedules but again I was left out and all I was told every time was we are overstaffed but how come you hire new people but don't give me a schedules then some managers started to request me on their shift or try to set me up with a schedule but it was never authorized by the warehouse manager. I even opened up a ticket sent emails - everything I could do - but same outcome: more new hires and and I was left out again. I finally have a schedule now after like 80 new hires - very unfair and disappointing and thats the way they treat some employees like me when I'm just trying to give my best to the company. I believe this site can do better than this and needs a change. I don't know what else to do and I'm not quitting.
