Walked out in tears

Amazon is not easy to work for as someone who has been there (at my local warehouse) I can tell you it is a revolving door for workers. People who are hired in usually quit early, sometimes even during their first week. It's a brutal job that not everyone can handle.

I have seen people walked out in tears not wanting to lose their jobs. Its also not uncommon to see fellow workers break down on the floor because of stress & pure exhaustion. We meet the goals that are set only for them to constantly be raised to higher amounts. All it takes is one day of not making rate (goal expectations) to be wrote up and on your way out the door.

Whenever fellow associates raise concerns with the higher ups, we are always meet with the same cold generic responses our area managers are taught to relay. We are also constantly reminded that we are replaceable.

The only way working for Amazon could be beneficial is if you get lucky and are a favorite and then could possibly move up. Even then interviews are not based on qualification or experience but on how well you can handle or bull crap answer the questions being asked.

We usually go through managers fast typically cause Amazon hires people straight out of college with no realization of what kind of contract they have signed.

At Amazon we the workers will never be more than numbers that can be easily be replaced.
