Sexual harassment

Our VP and two of his directors sexually harassed one of our colleagues last year. When she complained to HR, she was pretty quickly fired. After she sued and won a pretty good amount of cash, we figured this would be held against our VP and directors and would impact their careers, but they all got promotions anyway and added more teams to their empires. In fact, the only consequence I've been able to find internally is that our VP promoted our most incompetent senior manager to director just because she is a female. I guess this made up for his sin from the HR perspective because he must be fully over sexually harassing that one woman if he is promoting a different woman to his leadership team. These HR people are idiots.
