Exhausting

After a few years here, the problem I have with the system is that I have seen truly bad  (think stopped coming to or participating in work) employees limp along for years before finally getting pushed out and quite a few really brilliant people upset someone in their management chain once and get thrown under the Least Effective/Focus/Pivot bus to meet UA (unregretted attrition) targets.  

As a manager, it is an exhausting system. Especially in an org like mine that is a highly-specialized area of computer science where honestly no one is lazy or unintelligent or you wouldn’t have been hired.
