No HR help

At Amazon, you never can speak to a live HR person from your local site. This is horrible if you have an urgent need. Everything is communicated with them via chat or calling some 800 number and escalating calls for 24-48 hours to get back to you. They never give direct answers or are of much help. When they finally get back to you, it's via email.

Newly hired are always going in blind. They don't tell anyone what department they're working in. All the way up to their start date, it's impossible to know which department, despite live chat and calling the ERC. They claim to not know anything, which is a lie; they do know and can find out.

Once you start, you're given one shift and than they randomly change it. It doesn't matter if you changed your life around based on the currently assigned schedule.

If you complain about anything, they say "if there's a problem, just talk to HR", which is impossible like I already said. If you ask again, they have a very nasty disposition.

This company claims to care about their workers but they do not. Truth be told, that's why it has such high turnover. They're nasty to everyone and just plain horrible people.
