ONT6 FEB 15 UPDATE

This is an open letter from an Amazon.com tier 1 Associate who works at the Ontario 6 Fulfillment Center in Moreno Valley, California. My name is Mark Oglesby (login: moglesby) and I am on the Committee to Unionize the Ontario 6 Fulfillment Center which will happen sooner or later and so I believe that we cannot be stopped! And it is concerning this subject that I would like to address my fellow Workers, Process Assistants, Area Managers, Operations managers, Senior Operations Managers, General Manager and all other Amazon.com operatives around the globe: For your approval or not!

I am so angry if not disappointed with our “so-called” leadership! Here’s what’s going on: At Ontario 6, there has been over 43 safety “incidences” in the last week alone! Can you imagine the carnage? Do you think you’d be able to survive out on the mod? I doubt it!

Anyway, here’s what’s being said “officially” concerning this spike in safety “incidences” at Ontario 6: “Word on the street” as spoken by an official in Safety (what a farce!) is that over fifty percent of the “incidences” are false reports by pickers who are saying that they have been injured! I am so insulted by these people (“so-called” leadership) who imagine that they can say anything to divert blame from them and their sloppy abortion which we call and work on, the mods!

A PA (Process Assistant, whatever that means? I am not certain!) said to me today at the end of shift (2/15/2017) that over half of these “so-called” safety “incidences” were in fact false claims made by the pick department associates who did this for whatever reason? Thank you! One in two of my fellow associates are liars! Again, thank you! Does anyone besides me see the hypocrisy here? This building’s (Ontario 6) in crisis and management need look no further than itself!

Furthermore! It’s my belief that management will continue to place blame on the associates for their mismanagement of our building. To the quick: I am so tired of this behavior by our “so-called” leadership! I am beyond any reasonable explanation for this! My desire is that corporate comes down on Ontario 6 leadership like a ton of bricks! Changes must be made!

Personally, I do not feel safe out on the mods! OSHA needs to be called in order to take stock of what is going on here! None of us can feel secure that we’ll return home in one piece at the end of the day! Ain’t life grand! An investigation must be started immediately or the rate of safety

“incidences” will continue to spiral upwards. Ontario 6: Shame on you!

Sincerely,

Mark Oglesby (login: moglesby)
