Broken Meeting Culture

In every Amazon meeting, group think rules the day because they insist on not sharing any information ahead of time. Allowing the people go in to a meeting with the information before it is discussed would allow each individual to evaluate the topic in their own way. The result of Amazon's method of spending most of the meeting reading with very little discussion time is the lack of having more developed thoughts on a proposal, which would enable them to participate in discussion productively. The result of many of these meetings is a meeting in which nobody is willing to say "no".
